First things first, I do not subscribe to overly restrictive diets. My aim is to help you celebrate food and learn to eat in a way that’s right for your own unique set of circumstances and health goals. I would rather focus on what you can eat instead of what you can’t.
I understand that it’s no fun feeling sick and tired all the time, especially when there don’t seem to be any answers when you seek help.
But the truth is, there is often plenty you can do to get your health back on track. All you need is someone to actually listen to your story and help put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together with you.
The fact of the matter is that to be optimally healthy all of the cells in your body need to function well and communicate with each other effectively. And the systems of your body – including your digestive, immune and hormone systems – need to be happy. Your body works as a whole. To me, it doesn’t make sense to approach the body as separates.
As a nutritional therapist, my main aim is to investigate the underlying causes of your health issue. It’s likely you have a strong hunch about what’s driving your symptoms, and I’m keen to hear all about your health history and what’s been going on for you. Together we can also look at your diet and lifestyle – for example, how food fits into your day or how well you sleep. We might explore the role of stress on your health too if it’s relevant. My job is to understand why you’re not feeling well. I also work hard to make sure the recommendations we discuss together are specific and achievable. Generic diet regimes, bland food sheets and unsupported changes just don’t work.
I am not a doctor, so I cannot diagnose or claim to treat you, but I can support your health with nutrition and wellbeing guidance and advice. And I find that most doctors are genuine supporters of what I do, as they understand the importance of my work in supporting those who are chronically unwell.
If you are suffering with illness or if you simply want to ensure you do all you can to stay fit and healthy, I would love to work with you.
