Green Ambulance Smoothie

This smoothie is so popular with my clients, especially those with immunity issues.  It’s fresh and very tasty and makes a great drink to enjoy at breakfast time, or on a hot summer’s afternoon.  And in the winter months, when colds and flus are rife it works wonders.  You will need a blender or NutriBullet to make this tasty drink.

INGREDIENTS

  •  1 handful of spinach leaves, washed

  •  1/4 of a medium sized avocado, peeled and roughly chopped

  •  1 inch chunk of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped in half

  •  1/2 cup (about 4-5 chunks) fresh or frozen pineapple

  •  1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds

  •  1 teaspoon of raw honey

  •  1 mug of water, or enough to cover the ingredients in the blender

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients except for the water into your blender or NutriBullet

  2. Pour the water on top, making sure you do not go past the maximum line indicator on the NutriBullet

  3. Blend for 10-15 seconds, or until the smoothie is smooth

  4. Drink immediately
